The Hurricane Tracer is an all-around sea kayak designed to meet the needs of experienced paddlers and challenge intermediate and progressive beginners to build confidence and skills. This tourer design can be used for extended trips, cruising in the bay and playing in the surf zone, and the Tracerís moderate hull rocker performs well in big water, excels in breakers and turns aggressively on a hard lean. With a slight V hull and soft chines, the Tracer tracks well yet transitions to edging with ease, and its moderate initial stability provides a friendly feeling while its secondary stability helps to instill proper body centering and promote paddler growth. The Tracerís speed, performance and skeg allow it to cover significant distances and transition from play to straight-line tracking in a variety of conditions. The Tracerís ABS Trylon thermoform construction with H-channel seam comes in at 48 lbs and costs 50 percent less than composite counterparts.
