carved glacial fiords teeming with birds

explore the fiords and tidewater glaciers
of Aialik and/or Harris Bay and Northwestern
Fiord surrounded by abundant wildlife and

Shore is your personal sea kayak mothership

Current Designs single and double kayak rentals
and sales. Our custom water taxi transportation
offers quick trips to multiple drop sites
in the Misty Fjords National Monument. Outfitting
services include trip planning, bear box
and rubber boot rentals as well as offering
guided full day and overnight trips into
the Misty Fjords. Gear storage and airport/ferry
pick ups with or without your own kayaks
are also available.
For paddlers wanting to explore the local area we offer half day and full day
trips on a daily schedule. Instruction can be scheduled by arrangement.
We are conveniently located on the waterfront in downtown Ketchikan, a short
distance from the ferry dock, youth hostel and supermarket.

Using
Base Camps this tour spends three nights
in LeConte Glacier Bay then floatplanes move
you up Frederick Sound to find some whales.
All of our tours start and finish in the
fishing village of Petersburg. Located in
the heart of Alaska's Inside Passage and
off the
cruise ship route!! The Glaciers
and Whales Tour lets you visit and paddle
two very different eco-systems. One base
camp is located in LeConte Glacier Bay Wilderness.
A 12 mile fjord with 3000 foot walls of rock.
The other Camp you'll stay at is located
on the shores of Frederick Sound. The Sound
has one of the most active Humpback Whale
populations in Alaska. Our price includes
a hotel rooms on the first and last nights.

Wilderness
Alaska conducts multi day guided kayaking
trips to all the diverse regions and habitats
of western Prince William Sound; thundering
tidewater glaciers, remote islands, narrow
forest lined passages, open water whale feeding
areas or maybe all of them.
Our groups are small (max 8) and
therefore very flexible to suit all group's
interests and dates. Select from any of our
scheduled trips or work with us to design
a custom trip; there are appropriate trips
for any level of experience. Join us and
