The Boréal Design Vaag is the larger of the two boats in what could be called our "Storm Boat" series of kayaks. Built for an ideal paddler weight of less than 190 pounds, the Vaag has a shallow deck with upswept bow and stern and increased rocker to deal with most sea states. The Vaag is a robustly built boat with a flair for attention—the signature slash on the hull is not just a distinctive mark, it also increases visibility. The Vaag is intended to be used for surfing, playful rock-garden outings with the odd sea cave exploration trip. Paddlers with intermediate to advanced skills will take advantage of the Vaag’s performance abilities to navigate turbulent waters or make their way through tight channels. It’s a boat built for rough water.Enjoy!
