Sea Kayaker magazine has been the journal of record for our activity for almost as long as I've been paddling open water. No other magazine even comes close to it in quality. I'm glad to see that an increasingly wide spectrum of open-water boats is being discussed in and reviewed by the magazine. I'd love to see a review of, say, one of the Warren Light Craft models. But I hope that Sea Kayaker remains true to its name, and continues to involve itself only in kayaks, and in boats that are meant for open water--I'd hate to see SK get involved in the SUP supernova of transient interest, or in covering boats that are not intended for maritime conditions. These worthy and popular craft can surely find their own journal(s).
