A friend here in Seattle brought the greenland and aleutian version to our weekly club practice. I tried both and really liked the Aleut blade shape. The aleut blade has a flat side and a convex side but flat side is actually slightly concave and gives a great feeling of grip in the water. Acceleration and high speed paddling felt very smooth. It also rolled and sculled very nicely. It got passed around and a few folks who had only recently got a reliable roll with a euro blade just popped right up without trouble. They are foam filled carbon so very buoyant. If you see them at a demo or symposium give em a try.
