Thanks Andrew for that great in-depth review of the Sevylor. We have been looking at the Sea Eagle 135 Fast Track which is quite a bit more expensive than the Sevylor. We are also new comers, having only paddled in the sea once and in our Murray River occasionally. We live near the sea so will paddle there more often than in the river which is a couple hours drive away. We want a boat that is going to be really strong and reliable, and that we can paddle back to shore easily if the wind should blow up, although we probably won't venture too far off shore.

I think it was extraordinarily brave of you to approach a 12 foot alligator, if I see any Great White Sharks on our travels I think I won't need the boat as I will walk on water. Of course the likelihod of this would be like winning the lottery and I am still waiting for that, but I still haven't got over Jaws. We are in Adelaide, South Australia by the way.

If anyone else has any comments on the comparion between the Sea Eagle and Sevylor kayaks, would love to hear them.

Susan
