Temagami is a great place to Kayak. Did about 70km's in the 3 1/2 daqy I was there. We were in the Northarm section from the access point. The wind seemed to blow predominantly from the north most of the time. Apparently the south end has even more channels and coves to explore. It is a huge clear lake and has many campsites. We did the trip in mid july and the water was lukewarm. I expected it to still be very cool. The sun only set around 10pm each night so that made for nice long evenings. Flies were not bad until the sun went down but then it was time to go to the tent anyway. Tough to find wood for a fire at the campsites as it is pretty well picked through. You have to go deep to find any.

Only thing I didn't like about the trip was the drive in to the Central Access point which is approx. 25 km's down a dusty unpaved road off hwy 11. I was following a couple of veh's and even though I hung back 3/4 km my exterra and kayak were a filthy dusty mess when we unloaded. Like most parking area's there is little shade and every car that passes your parked veh covers it in dust.
