I did this trip about 15 years ago with a son. 9 days of welcome flat water. 17' Canoe. 19 gallons of water. 2 coolers, if I remember right. Awesome / different scenery. Spring break, high winds in late morning - early afternoons means early starts. Sand bars make navigation interesting and constant. Check water levels. Check special regulations... The upper first half seemed more pretty. You may see other people but not many. Jet boat ride back can be a cold one; dress for it. You will not forget this trip.
