My fleet consists of five boats:
- WS Tempest Pro 170 in kevlar (my favorite)
- Hurricane Tracer in thermoform plastic
- CD Soltice GTS in fiberglass (wife's boat)
- Dagger Animas, plastic (an older "river runner" whitewater boat)
- Aire Lynx inflatable
Mind you, it's taken me a number of years to aquire that many kayaks. Building the fleet takes time, and the doing of it occasionally strains matrimonial harmony. It also leaves your $20,000 car outside the garage in rain and snow so you can protect your $2,000 boats. But building one's fleet is a worthy task. Besides, anyone afflicted with the paddling disease cannot be content with just one craft.
