My paddlebuddy has a feathercraft K2. We take this everywhere. The quality is incredible. We feel it is easier in chop because it has some play unlike a hardshell which can slap down. They are very tough and he has found the company to be very supportive when calling for any help, parts or advice. Even replace a broken rudder for free.
They are expensive, they travel and store well.
We are building folders right now so you should check out "yostwerks.com." you can make a very sweet boat of almost any design for less that $1000. This is a brilliant site and incredibly comprehensive. If you build it, you can fix it.
