Very confident in mine till I get wet. Only had one lesson and few practices on my own. All in calm water at 60*. I will be going for instruction this winter in pool to start. I will paddle this winter but be very prudent on conditions. I also have plenty of places to paddle in the marshes and never far from inland shores.
