So I just snagged a badly damaged Current Designs Andromeda for next to nothing because whoever owned it just left it at a boathouse in D.C., and they wanted to free up their slip-space. I'm fairly confident I can nurse it back to health, but I had thought that I would change the color of the deck in the process.
However, I just got it home and started looking at it closer, and realized that it was signed by Derek Hutchinson (in 2003). As near as I can tell it is indeed authentic. I'm not his biggest fan as far as a paddler, but he was the designer of the boat, and perhaps the most famous of seakayakers (not to mention the fact that he was indeed a pioneer of paddling glass boats).
I'd love to hear you guys opinions as to whether or not I should bother trying to preserve his autograph.
