Anyone carrying their kayaks on a mini van or an SUV might consider the Malone Down Loaders which can be used with the Malone Telos kayak assist system. I'm 5'11" and my wife is 5'5" and it was always a pain to load and unload our kayaks on our van. We have poly WS Cape Horns, 17' and 15', and they are not light. With this system it's a breeze to put them on the Down Loaders and to take them down as well. The system is designed so one person can load and unload kayaks, but it's easier with two people. I was also looking at the Hullavator from Thule, but these are around $600 and for two kayaks way too expensive the Malone system is about $500 for two kayaks.
