I'm hoping someone could help me make a decision about the solstice GT vs GTS. Unfortunately I am a bit landlocked, and there are no dealers nearby. I am 5'10", 190lbs, 30" inseam, 36" waist. I am considering the purchase of a GT, and am wondering if the GTS would fit me better. I paddle mainly inland waters...very slow rivers and lakes. I presently own an older WS Sealution pro kevlar, (rudder) and it is nice, but a bit tight to get into...even with 30" legs. I feel that I am about at the limit for what the boat can carry, and would like to do some camping in the future. I considered the QCC 700, but am now looking closely at a GT kevlar. (not HF)
Thanks for any advice!

GTS will be a bit faster. You will fit in the GTS. I am 6' 215-220 38" waist and can get into a Nomad although length of cockpit is a tad tight at 29" and the GTS is 31". GT is nice with more room and the option of wide base seat but you should not need that. Both are great boats. Solstice GT is very very stable more room for gear if speed is not the most important thing. Workmanship on CD boats is great. My inseam is 32.

Thanks DogPaddle - I used to have a Necky Narpa years ago. Sold it for tuition. I just purchased the 16'6" Sealution kevlar thinking that a 21.1" boat might be tippy, but was very surprised at how stable it is. I don't know if a GTS would be as stable as the Sealution...I guess there is more to it than just width. I would like to do some camping, but the sealution is close to it's load limit. I found a fairly recent GT Kevlar for 1,200, and it it sounds like a great deal. It is not the HV, which would most likely be best for me. I am a bit top heavy, so was worried that the GTS might be a bit tippy for me.

GF was in one with no experience other than SOT Quest Hobie and felt good. Women are more bottom heavy than men. Nomad use to fell tippy now it feels normal to me 1200 is a good deal serial number tells the year.
