Ground out a big chip in my gel coat where the deck curves down to meet the tapeline/hull. Lo, what did I find? I ground out about 6"x1/2" of gelcoat until there was no gap between the gelcoat and the fiberglass. now, the tricky bit is building up the gelcoat until it's the same level as the surrounding gelcoat.

Sigh, lots of layers and mixing. I hope tomorrow evening to be able to sand it down.

Fill it with filler not gelcoat then top it off with gelcoat.

Didn't have filler. I've done that before. Just mostly complaining about repairing at all rather than paddling. that and finding that bubble was larger than i thought.

I am redoing an entire CD Extreme. I will have some satisfaction when it is done. Hopefully this week the paint will be done. Still plenty of good paddling weather ahead. I have my Solstice so I can still paddle. When you get it done you will be happy!
