I have just purchased a Tempest 170 kayak but won't get to try it out for a few months yet. I have read great reviews about the Tempest 170. I just want to know if anyone else uses one and what the think about it.

Its a great boat I have the Tempest 180 pro. The Tempest line have a hard chine and are great for edging and are great in the chop.

The skeg housing does have a tendency to leak so you need to check the fittings and seal them if they leak.

Love mine, paddles straight and fast. It's not a light boat but I dont feel guilty when it takes some abuse, like I would with a composite boat.
