Hi Folks,
FYI- The ISKA (Irish Sea Kayaking Association) has published a quarterly newsletter published for the last fifteen years or so. It is called "Treasna na dTonnta" (Across the Waves). It contains a wealth of information about sea paddling in Ireland and abroad. We have put together a new website is built around that information.
The url is
Treasna na dTonnta http://treasnanadtonnta.com/TnadT/You will find many articles about paddling in Ireland and about issues concerning sea kayaking in general.
We get many paddlers from abroad. For those considering a trip to Ireland;
Two great resources are Oileann, a guidebook written by a sea kayaker and a founder of the ISAK about Ireland's islands, Dave Walsh, available for download on the ISKA website, currently out of print but soon to be republished- see Pesda Press for details.
and our very active bulletin board
ISKA website http://www.irishseakayakingassociation.org/m2/index.php?option=com_simpleboard&Itemid=48The online version of TnadT is intended to be our next main online resource.
As editor, I would certainly welcome any contribution from the international sea kayaking community.
Our next issue which will deal with open sea crossings.
Contact details are on the website
Happy New Year to all and safe paddling.
