I am planning a trip up to the Killarney area on Georgian Bay later this year to kayak 5-7 days. My proposed trip will have me depart from Killarney, cross to Philip Edward Island, onto the Fox Islands then to the Hawk Islands. From there to Green Island, Papoose and Squaw Islands. Has anyone kayaked to Green, Papoose and/or Squaw Islands? Papoose has a 6 km open water crossing from Green Island and Squaw Island has an 8 km crossing from Papoose. I would like to hear from anyone that has kayaked to these Islands and what their experiences were like. I am only a few years into sea kayaking and have never taken any courses. However, I have developed good skills such as bracing, self rescues and rolls. But I am not familiar with this area of Georgian bay so any input is appreciated.
