Are these the same boat with different name as years pasted? Same length & width when I read reviews. Was anything changed over the years like the hull shape or significant items. Rudder looks like my 08 Solstice not sure how peddles have changed since 03? I see the seat is un-padded in the Extreme. From pictures I think it is Kevlar boat.

I was looking at a used one which is an 03 Extreme. I see the cockpit is 30 x 15.5 vs my Solstice which is 32 x 16. I rented one once but I need more time and skills to be comfortable in it. Figured I can pretty this one up if I get it for good price. I might need the wider seat like I put in my Solstice. I am 6' + tad and 215.

thanks for any insight on this kayak!

No insight, but I did ask a CD dealer a while back about the same question and he said they were the same boat with a different name. I demoed a Nomad one time and found it to be a pretty neat boat. I briefly considered a Nomad when I was looking for a long distance cruiser. So glad I chose the NC Expedition instead.
