So far after going to about 5 web sites for manufactures like Current Design, P&H, Valley, and one or two others I have yet to receive a catalog from any of them after a few months. Guess they are all to busy. No responses in a bad economy.

I got one from Current Design today with price list attached. May be the were waiting for new catalogs. No response from the others yet. Either way I would have responded with a email to a customer.

Try Epic, I ordered a boat from them and they have responded to me whenever I have questions. Even the founder, Greg Barton, responded to me on Facebook! Epic also responded to me on Facebook, so far I am really impressed with their customer service. I am sure if you have questions they will help you out.

I have heard good and bad on their Epic service. Not really keen on buying a boat made in China. Just my personal feeling. The more I was thinking of a racing kayak next year when I have more skills. I see many are made in China. Guess I have to look further. Thanks for the suggestion anyway.

Check out a CLC Pax 20 or Mystery for a fast light and good looking wood boat. Made buy you where you live.

Still no other companies have mailed anything. If that is their service base I would be afraid to experience service after the sale.

I think websites have to one degree, or another, replaced brochures for some kayak builders. I know that my favorite (NC Kayaks) has a much better website than their little pamphlet.
