I need glass to see in the distance decent. They are a pain in the butt when they get splashed. I need to clean them inside and outside the lenses. Is there any prescription sport googles anyone uses where you just wipe the outside? When I raced offshore boats guy had prescription googles but that was in 1988 last I saw him. What is new now. RainX my glasses?

I'll google it up but personal experiences would be welcome here.
thanks.

There are lens cleaners and anti-foggers that the scuba folks use on their masks. One is called Aquaseal Sea Drops. I used a scuba mask when I was practicing rolling and this stuff works pretty well. It keeps glass and plastic clean and prevents it from fogging. I would be careful in putting it on your $400 eyeglasses until you're sure it won't harm the plastc lens. You can get it at any scuba shop.

Good bye glasses! I had my cataract removed in one eye. Next one 3-15. I can see better than in my entire life. It will be great to go out with no glasses. I can see everything and it is so bright! Going out Friday or Saturday.

Hell yes, Dog! Me too! Got my new right lens last November. 20/25. Looking forward to #2. Just in the nick of time, too. Almost got mowed down on the Potomac by a fast-moving multi-person rowing shell in October. Lucky for me, my SK Coach, Clucky the Renaissance Chicken, spotted them in time and let out a bodacious squak (PUH-CAWWWK!!!), allowing me to sprint to safety. Cleared their oars by about 3 feet. They never saw me because....who knows? I didn't see them till they were on top of me because my glasses had slipped off during some rolling and were hanging by one retaining strap. Put them in my PFD pocket and figured I'd just paddle the 100 yards back to the dock and get things sorted out, but I was flying "blind". Thanks, Clucky, you rock!

Shiver,
Please tell us more about Clucky. What is a Renaissance Chicken? What is an SK Coach?

Fogged glasses, that's why I went to contact lenses 5 decades ago. The first pair of lenses lasted 4 decades.

Both eyes done and perfect vision what a pleasure to see again. Now I can mount the Current Design compass on the nose because I can see it. I can read a newsprint from 14" to near 6 feet away. Everything is more colorful. Downside everyone looks older including myself, everything is more rusted, dirty, people have they high beams on again after 7 years of not bothering me!

So easy to do my masonry construction bids. Now I can see the small print and numbers without bending over the plans and leaning towards the computer! I was out once in the kayak between the eye surgeries and it was awesome. Better than mega Lotto and I would not trade for it.

Even though this is a late post....I recommend trying Cat Crap. No it's not the feline variety. I bought mine from Amazon. You can buy it in paste or spray. I have only used the spray. It solved my fogging problems.
