Do they make stabilizers or something to put out while she slept on the long crossings?

Dog, if you go into the Sea Kayaker Magazine part of this website, you'll find, under "Articles", 2009 and 2010 reports on Freya's circumnavigation. Her crossing of the Gulf of Carpentaria report details her use of paddle floats to stabilize her kayak while she slept.

Don't think so. I think she may still be touring/speaking. She was here in Jersey about a month and a half ago.

DogPaddle52: Freya's book is actively in work, with Joe Glickman doing the actual writing (hopefully with plenty of extracts from Freya's blog), Joe is an experienced kayaker and a very entertaining writer, so I expect the book will be a good one. Last I heard it was due about next May.
