I'm looking to get a handheld VHF radio in case of an emergency on the water as well as something to get weather updates. Can anyone give me recommendations for certain models or point me in the direction of other resources for reviews, etc? Any thoughts are appreciated.

I have standard Horizon model hx850s floats and have used it for few years in the boat and now the kayak. Good battery life also.
