Guys,

I was making a 'flip' remark about inflatables - since apparently unaware, each of those little things after my sentences are called 'emoticons'. Emoticons are textual expressions representing the face of a writer's mood or facial expression. For example, :), :(, and :D. They are often used to alert a responder to the tenor or temper of a statement, and can change and improve interpretation of plain text. Hence, the light-hearted nature of my response. ;-P

With that being said, we all know that generally inflatables are a 'compromised boat' in most situations due to some very basic science. I would love to have one, just not as my only boat. I think I'd pick the fold up or sectional like the Nimbus over an inflatable. Though one of the inflatables which looks REALLY cool is the "Khatsalano" by Feathercraft. I haven't used one of these nicer ones and considering cost and my usage of boats, probably never will. :-(

In my decision making, I keep going back to Pacboat Puffin II and less to the Advanced Elements Convertible. The more I read the more I see that everyone's got different opinions!

Mitch,
The Khatsalano by Feathercraft is a takeapart boat not inflatable.

The one thing I have seen with inflatables is the cheap knockoffs that look like an inflatable kayak but shouldn't be used for anything more than a swimming pool toy. If you're going the inflatable route make sure you buy a quality boat.
