Planning first time trip in Alaska for 10days
Can anyone advise on 2 options
Glacier Bay national park
Or Prince William sound (start valdez or whittlier )
Looking to see wild life, whale’s ,bears and enjoy the remoteness.

Either option will be fantastic.

I recommend Glacier Bay. It is everything people say it is, especially for a skilled kayaker. In my opinion, the farther North you get in Glacier Bay the better the wildlife and scenery (except for the whales who seem to be around Sitakaday Narrows and Icy Bay . I recommend exploring the East Arm first because of your limited time frame.

If you choose Prince William Sound, consider taking a water taxi out of Whittier. Harriman Fjord, Port Nellie Juan, Icy bay, Whale Bay are my recommendations. I recommend the book “Kayaking and Camping in Prince William Sound” by Paul Twardock ISBN: 1-877900-14-1

I'll second the thought of taking a water taxi out of Whittier rather than launching off the beach. It's a long paddle to the more spectacular areas. Of course all of it is drop dead gorgeous.
