I just ordered my boat. i hope it lives up to all the praise people have told me about it. Looking forward to building this boat. I need to have it done by Christmas. I am going to paddle the Pinnellas Florida trip that was in the magazine last month. I would like to take this kayak.

Derek, give yourself plenty of room in which to build your boat, and plenty of time. If it's done by Christmas, fine; if not, that's fine too. And, believe me, once you free yourself from thinking about what others may think about your boat, you'll find that you are then free to paddle and enjoy yourself for the pleasure of paddling, with your new companion that you built with your own hands.

Thanks, I have plenty of room. Most everyone around me wants to be apart of this project. I just hope it is a joy on the water. I do go out 3 times a week minimum. I have always used plastic boats and I am hard on them. I believe this is my best option. We will see.

Derek,
Keep us up to date on your project. We'd all enjoy hearing how it goes the good and the frustrating.

I would be interested in progress, too!!

We are looking at sail-able Kayak-Trimarans this fall.. this seems a good choice!!!!
