where the pool is always deepest, the bilge driest.
On a typical load in my Solstice, pump behind seat, battery in Pelican box with relay at forward bulkhead inside forward cargo.

Load, day or camping is similar with my preference for fore/aft attitude.

US Plastics has fittings, 3M flexible boat sealant works on roughened Pelican surface.

Front deck under bungees with one wrap around the pump handle to keep it more secure.
