Hello folks,
we have just came back from Broken Group kayaking trip. It was my about 4th trip to this paddler's paradise. I can honestly recommend this destination. Here is the link to my video from The Broken Group, just to give you an idea of what kind of scenery to expect.

Yes... I suggest heading to BGI's in the shoulder seasons. Can get crowded in mid July/August, but still an amazing place.

Iceburger, thanks for posting about your BGI trip.

I've been both in the middle of summer and in the shoulder season -- both are good but you definitely get fewer people during the off season.

Here's some photos and (longish) report from a fantastic trip that I did with my daughter during the summer:

And here's photos and trip report from an early spring trip (where we had campsites to ourselves for most of the trip):

Don't let the summer crowds turn you away from the Broken Group Islands -- it's a beautiful place regardless of the time of year.
