Hey Patrick, when you find the best sea kayak, let us know what it is. I've come to believe that there is no one best sea kayak. You've got to have at least two--even more would be better.
The Warren Wing kayak might perform well and they are very light, but I can't get past their looks. And for me, the looks are a very big part of the deal. That makes my search for the "best kayak" a little easier. I also eliminate a whole bunch of other boats, because I'm also very partial to the British style. Another bunch of boats are crossed off my list, due to my preference of Swede, or symetrical design--as opposed to fish design. Finally, the boat has to be solidly built; even if that means it will be a bit heavier.
All that brings me to consideration of a couple of NC Kayaks, a couple of Current Designs and maybe one Boreal.
