I can't argue a bit with what you say, but I would add that it does take a while before one can truly appreciate all that the boat has to offer. In my case, I had to learn a lot about paddling and boat handling, before I was able to realize just what my boats are capable of. I'm still learning and I expect that will be the case as long as I'm able to swing a paddle.

I just wanted to restate the rules as a preventative measure. The whole crew here at Sea Kayaker appreciates the quality of posts we have seen displayed. Personally I thought Greg did a good job of expressing his frustrations and still passing on constructive criticism of Marlin. I try to make sure comments like these are forwarded to the manufacturer and invite them to join in the discussion. Keep up the good work - I look forward to reading your comments.

Please let me know if there are changes you'd like to see in the way our forum is presented or run.

Greg,
Your review was extremely helpful to me. Kayakpro makes some very eye catching kayaks with appealing features, price and weight. However your review helped me get beyond the visual appeal and get to details. I would still like to test paddle one just to see what all the positive press is about; but personally I would not purchase a boat made in China. Sadly alot of manufacturers are heading that way.

What would one expect from China? Manufactures will head that way as long as people buy them.
