Has anyone paddled a Warren Little Wing?

Are they "the best" in as far as such terminology can be applied to anything?

Having had my current sea kayak for 10 years it's time for me to search for a new one. Prepared to suffer the cost that it takes to have the very best.

Advice sought!

Hey Patrick, when you find the best sea kayak, let us know what it is. I've come to believe that there is no one best sea kayak. You've got to have at least two--even more would be better.

The Warren Wing kayak might perform well and they are very light, but I can't get past their looks. And for me, the looks are a very big part of the deal. That makes my search for the "best kayak" a little easier. I also eliminate a whole bunch of other boats, because I'm also very partial to the British style. Another bunch of boats are crossed off my list, due to my preference of Swede, or symetrical design--as opposed to fish design. Finally, the boat has to be solidly built; even if that means it will be a bit heavier.

All that brings me to consideration of a couple of NC Kayaks, a couple of Current Designs and maybe one Boreal.

Happy shopping.

Here is a link to my review of the Little Wing 12.5 on paddling.net: http://www.paddling.net/Reviews/showReviews.html?prod=2359.

The Little Wings are unusual in design, but they are quite extraordinary in the way they paddle. My Little Wing 12.5 is as fast as my 16'6" Folbot Cooper, but it to handle rough water adn confused seas much better; I find the handling similar to a Necky Chatham. Like many people, I like the classic looks of something like a CD Suka, but each time I pick up my 24-Lb (actual measured weigth of mine)Little Wing 12.5 or take it for a paddle, I am glad of my choice.
