This is an English language only Sea Kayaking Forum. Information or opinions contained in any posts are those solely of the user making the post and in no way is validated by the opinions of Sea Kayaker Magazine or Sea Kayaker Inc. (hereafter referred to as Sea Kayaker), this includes the postings of our moderators. Use of any information on this board is done AT YOUR OWN RISK. While we may at time respond to posts, Sea Kayaker makes no warrants or claims regarding the validity of any information posted by users on this board nor do we review posts for accuracy of information.

This board may be moderated by both Sea Kayaker staff as well as 3rd party member moderators and we request that you please be respectful when interacting with our moderating team.

1) NO OBSCENE LANGUAGE. This board is intended for family use. Please refrain from using any vulgar language that would offend someone else. Inappropriate words will be edited. Inappropriate posts will be deleted. This also applies to User Names. Accounts with inappropriate user names may be deleted.

2) NO OBSCENE MATERIAL. Please, no pornographic material or links to it. If it is not fit for family members, it is not fit for here. DON'T DO IT! We have a zero tolerance policy on this one.

3) NO PERSONAL INSULTS or ATTACKS. Sea Kayaker provides this site for our users to gather and discuss sea kayaking. You are free to disagree with others, but if you stoop to personal abuse or attacks, your post(s) will be deleted. If you ARE insulted, please do report the post to the moderator, but DO NOT retaliate.

4) CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM ONLY. When making comments or finding faults with products or services related to the Sea Kayaking industry all criticism should be of a constructive nature. If you have found a fault we welcome your ideas as to how it might be improved or perfected. Hopefully manufacturers will use your comments to improve the sport of Sea Kayaking. Posts that tear a product or service apart will be removed.

5) NO TROLLING OR FLAME WARS. Trolling and/or attempting to bait others into a flame war will not be tolerated. Any posts we deem fall into this category will be deleted and/or you will be blocked from posting.

6 POST IN THE APPROPRIATE FORUM. Please read each forum description before posting to ensure you are posting in the correct forum. Off-topic posts will be moved to the correct forum or deleted if no appropriate forum is available.

7) Please,NO DUPLICATE OR REPEAT POSTS. If no one answers your question or responds to your post, please "bump" it rather than posting it again. Posting the same question over and over or in every forum will just annoy people and will not get answers. Duplicate posts will be removed.

8) USE APPROPRIATE TITLES. Titles like “Help Me” serve little value in a forum. Try to be short but descriptive when submitting your post. Likewise, try to be clear and articulate when posting your questions, answers, or comments. Unclear messages/posts only add confusion and may delay responses to your post.

9) NO ILLEGAL SUGGESTIONS. Respect the copyrights of other people, web sites, software and printed media. Please no pointers, how-to’s, advocating any illegal activity. Posts containing such materials or links will be deleted and the user warned.

10) NO ADVERTISING/SPAM or SOLICITATION. But, there are times when a link to another site is necessary for helping or answering a question do not use this site as a redirector or gateway to another site for the purpose of collecting click income or advertising. This site reserves the right to determine what is and is not SPAM. Any SPAM will be immediately deleted and the user warned.

This is not your personal "for sale" board to advertise items. There are other sites out there that will allow you to sell your items.

11) NO IMAGES. Sea Kayaker has decided to restrict the uploading of any images on our servers. However, you are free to post links to hosted images on your own servers. Please remember, no pornographic or obscene material of any kind.

12) SIGNATURES and USER NAMES. Signatures are allowed.. An additional 2 lines of text are allowed but must be size small (size=1). Keep lines to no more than 7 in small size text. File size should be no greater than 150KB. Signatures outside this limit will be edited and/or removed. Please remember, no pornographic, obscene or controversial subject matter of any kind (this includes political commentary). Remote avatars are allowed. Please size them 48x48 pixels.

13) RESPONSIBILTY. Sea Kayaker is not responsible for anything you do as a result of information or advice obtained at this site.

Any post/thread that Sea Kayaker deems inappropriate will be dealt with accordingly. If you have any questions about actions taken against a post/thread please contact the appropriate forum's Moderator(s). Please remember that this is a family-oriented message board. All rule violations will be dealt with swiftly, up to and including a permanent ban of the user account. We reserve the right to edit/delete posts/threads at our discretion.
