SK Team Paddler Live from Lumpy Saturday Evening

Staurday afternoon at Lumpies was a continuation of great instruction and skill development. We began by looking in on Cindy Scherrer’s boat control class. Although the water didn’t look so lumpy, the challenges to the students remained high as they learned to completely rotate and work on the side of their boats. The combat rolling class that we visited in the pool this morning applied their new skills in the surf this afternoon. Malcolm Kelly worked the beach while Leon tore up the waves in a short boat. Jason Self’s group caught their limits of crab and are presently cooking them up in the mess hall. Speaking of mess halls it is about that time. After dinner tonight we may be treated to video footage of the weekend. Tune in for tomorrow mornings update as we head into the grand finale of the Lumpy Waters Kayak Symposium.
