First half of Saturday’s instruction brought us back to the pool, this time with Malcolm and Leon and combat rolling.  Students worked in teams and short boats mastering the body and boat connection.  Next we returned to Pacific Beach for surf Instruction and watched the artistry of coaching with Cindy Scherer , and  Jeff Laxier.   Cate Hawthorne and Ed Hand worked the beach instructing students with tips for improvement while Chris Bensch and Matt Nelson provided dynamic demonstrations in green water. Students in all classes were encouraged to paddle within their comfort range and smiles were all around as the sun broke through the clouds shining down on a fantastic morning.   Lunch is over and Bob and I are headed out to check in on boat control in conditions.   If we have time we will try to catch up with a rough water rescues class.
