Derek Charles Hutchinson Funeral mass, Update by Wayne Horodowich

Today I honored my dear friend & mentor Derek Charles Hutchinson when I gave his eulogy. The crematorium was full (150+). It was a service of celebration with me telling Derek stories and jokes.
Since Derek died in his sleep, he got his wish. He often said he wanted to die like grandpa peacefully in his sleep. Not like the other four people in the car who went yelling & screaming as grandpa drove the car off of the cliff. Yes, I did deliver this one at the service.
The music that played when the coffin came in was “There’s no business like show business.”
After the service, a mass of Derek’s friends spent a few hours sharing Derek stories at a local pub. It was a very emotional day and special day. Derek will be missed.
Sorry for the blurred picture, but I didn’t realize the flash was off. Derek had two of his paddles on the coffin. After I get home at the end of October I will be editing the recording of the service and adding pictures. I am planning to post the memorial service on You Tube. – Wayne
