OUTFITTERS - South

Crystal Seas KayakingAs the weather cools off and winter sets in, the Everglades reach their prime. Sunny clear skies and warm waters provide a perfect kayaking environment. Crystal Seas Kayaking offers an ideal way to escape the chills of winter while enjoying one of America's world heritage sites. Paddle on a 2-7 day tour through a maze of mangrove islands, enjoy first class camping along white sand beaches, witness exotic wildlife & flora unique to this region and feast on fantastic food. Your naturalist guides will lead you through countless keys known as the Ten Thousand Islands. Enjoy gourmet lunches on shell mounds built up by the Calusa natives of the past, spot manatees in their natural environment, watch dolphins play, observe alligators hunting for fish, see flocks of ibis passing by and witness an osprey pluck a meal from the sea. One day tours are available and no experience is necessary. http://www.crystalseas.com/

KayakVoyagers
KAYAK VOYAGERS - Return from your day's paddling to a hot shower, let the crew prepare the meals in patio style dining, and sleep in a comfortable private cabin. Our format is not a strict follow the leader itinerary. By the selection of our anchorages and sometimes splitting the group, we can accommodate beginners through 4 stars and many interests in wildlife observation or skill building or instruction. We are owner-operators and we love being out there! Come share the joys of sea kayaking with us aboard "Mirage" - our liveaboard catamaran mothership for only 5 or 6 paddlers! The 2008 winter season will be in Florida's Gulf Islands of Cayo Costa, Captiva, and Sanibel with miles of sandy beaches, or choose the remote Everglades Thousand Islands. Week long or shorter trips on the schedule. For details see our website: www.KayakV.com or call Elke and John at 863-357-7406.
