 NWOC
was founded by five paddling entrepreneurs
in October of 1980. Our goal was simple:
to provide safe, high quality boating
instruction for people in the NW. Years
later, the concept has expanded but the
goal remains the same. NWOC is best known
for its classes, rentals, and tours,
which are detailed in our class brochure.
We also have about 100 kayaks available
for use right from our docks, on Lake
Union. Most of our classes and tours
are for the beginner, from Rescue classes
to Whitewater to Whale Searching.  We
also offer surf technique classes for
those who wish to elevate their skill
level.
We started selling gear because
of customer demand for quality kayaking
accessories. While we have more items
in our store, this covers many of the
items that kayakers can't do without.

Adventures offers guided sea kayak tours
from Orcas Island in Washington State’s
San Juan Islands, as well as quality kayak
and accessories  sales.
Join one of our scheduled 3-hour, day-long,
sunset, or moonlight paddles for a memorable
experience of the islands! Or contact us
about a custom tour for your group. Our
shop carries Valley Sea Kayaks, Nigel Foster
Kayaks, paddles, safety gear, parts and
accessories. We are happy to discuss conditions
and routes with kayakers new to the islands.
