In
late January 2000, my buddy Dave Stibbe and I set out on
a paddling adventure in Southeast Asia.
Our starting point was Phuket, on the north end of Thailand's
west coast. Our planned finish was Bali, Indonesia-2,800
kilometres away. We had a three-month window to complete
our trip, and agreed beforehand to just go with the flow.
We were equipped with a reliable folding double kayak and
two cases of Spam, so we were feeling pretty confident. |
